The best way to build trust and strengthen democracy is to get involved and become a part of the process. Poll workers are democracy’s essential workers and play an important role in ensuring all of us have the opportunity to make our voices heard by voting.
The Committee of Seventy and the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania are helping to prepare poll workers for election day through a Poll Worker 101 information session. This information session will supplement the required trainings provided by Pennsylvania counties, covering the basics of working the polls in Pennsylvania and giving additional details on important procedures. It is perfect for a first-time poll worker or experienced poll worker who wants to brush up on their knowledge.
We will be hosting multiple sessions of "Poll Worker 101" in the lead-up to the 2024 primary election on April 23, 2024. All the info sessions titled "Poll Worker 101" will be identical, so you only need to sign up for ONE session.
All sessions will be held over Zoom. Please register in advance. You will receive an email confirmation the day before the session with the Zoom information.
Please consider also joining us for a Poll Worker Q&A Session if you have any lingering questions after the Poll Worker 101 Session.
All sessions are designed to supplement required trainings by election officials and/or political parties. These are information sessions and should not be used in place of specific county or party trainings.
